Position Title: Shift Leader |
BASIC PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION: |
|
SUPERVISOR: Restaurant General Manager, Senior Assistant Manager & Assistant Manager |
|
JOB SCOPE: Entry level leadership position to salaried Management. Directs operations of an individual shift. Maintains customer service interaction and management responsibility for more than 3 people Has full responsibility for facilities and equipment maintenance, adherence to detailed cleaning tasks, and specific routine financial control Performs human resource responsibilities such as crew training, ongoing coaching, feedback for hourly employees, and health and safety audits Directly performs hands-on operational work on an ongoing basis to train employees, respond to customer service needs, or otherwise role model appropriate skills and behaviors in the restaurant
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Restaurant Team Members
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High School Degree or GED preferred Ability to calculate/analyze data Strong hospitality skills required Basic math and writing skills Basic Personal Computer operations preferred, not required
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensures products are consistent with company quality standards Ensures that the Occupational Safety & Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met Assists Profit & Loss management by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions Assists Restaurant Manager in taking disciplinary action, motivates and trains Ensures food quality and 100% customer satisfaction Directing activities of all scheduled employees Handling verbal complaints Available to work nights 75% and days 25%.
