I was hired by Taco Bell Corp. on 1984 ,in Houston ,Texas the only thing I knew well at the time was Customer Service ,the training involved PRO 1 through PRO 4 training .I was promoted to Restaurant Manager in 1985 ,My first restaurant was North Shepherd . I was a District Training Manager , Quality Assurance Manager till 1990 ,when I left for 2 years ,returning in 1992 as a AGM and being Promoted to RGM in Galveston ,Texas .I came on board with B&G, when Mr.Hamer and Andy Wilkerson came to Houston and bought the Texas stores , we opened 3 stores and relocated Fuqua ,During my time with B&G and I left as a District Manager ,leaving the company only to be close to my sons in Corpus Christi ,Texas where I continued in the Taco Bell system . I have recently come back after an 8 year absence and am an Area Support Coach in Lake Charles , La .During my career in Taco Bell I have met many great people who I have tried to model myself after and who have instilled in me a work ethic that I continue to have today. I have two sons David 22 years old and Brandon 13 years old they currently still live in Texas .I like to believe that being a Restaurant General Manager is one of my greatest accomplishments because I had to learn everything on the job and everything I did resulted in either failure or success, I also was able to obtain my 1st degree Black Belt In Tae Kwon Do while working in Restaurants, I learned to play golf (Tiger has nothing to worry about) and enjoy my hobbies of car shows and fishing. |
